Ans-When an opthalmologist resident gets Viral Conjunctivitis.

There you go i said it!

Its been on since yesterday morning and i thought it was all in my imagination but today it is full blown and my tiny eyes just got tinier (Yes,it is possible lol)

Mild grade fever,loneliness,boredom,irritability,laziness,hunger all put into this petite body of mine.

This must be a punishment for all the times i silently wondered about my patients "How do soooooo many people get conjunctivitis every single day!!"

And God was like "Here you go little whiny one,get a taste of your own medicine!"

Did i tell you i hate going to the doctor?

I guess that is no surprise- everyone hates going to the doctor. 

Anyway, here i am sitting and typing away probably infecting everything i touch and even the air around me lol

The Kerala Adventure-Varkala Beach

 What do you do when you have hyperactive friends?

Go out a lot, visit lotsa places...leave your footprints everywhere and make wonderful memories (even in not-so-fun places :p)

Varkala Beach is one of the famous beaches in Kerela ,situated about 50 km from Trivandrum ie about one and half hour depending on the traffic.

The best thing to do is reach in the morning,laze around ,hop eating-shacks,walk on the beach and visit the tiny shops selling very hippie products.

Other than that there is not much to do.

Outfit Post- A Casual Day Out

 Its been a long time away from blogging world.

I miss the fun and craziness of the events,the thrill of getting new products and swatching them as if its the end of the world, scrambling through my brain for new nail art ideas.

Now i feel like just another fish in the pond,another rat in the race.

I have been transported a decade back into a world less known to me.

But in a weird way i am happier than i ever was.

All i know is i miss Delhi :( with all my heart.

I'm still in my Malayam learning phase and EVERYYYYYONEEEE speaks in Malayalam here even if they know English.

Which makes me feel really left out and sad.

I can't understand the fun chats my batchmates have among themselves or the not so fun parts when they are discussing schedules or work.

I just sit there and pretend i'm alright when actually i'm not.

99.99% of the patients speak in Malayalam and i miss speaking in Hindi so much,sometimes i catch Hindi speaking patients lol

The blog reached 3rd anniversary on July 5th 2014 but i was too busy to even go near my laptop.

Plus my laptop has been under the weather for the past 1 month.

I go to work at 7 am and get home by 6 pm most of the days.

AVON Skin Goodness CC cream Review

By now my readers know that i can't do without BB creams.

I'm not much of a foundation person.

But what does one do when she is about to run out of BB creams?

Actually i had 2 back up skin 79 bb creams while i was still using my Missha no 21.

But some very unthoughtful people decided to take "MY" Missha without even asking permission.

You can imagine how bitter i was since it was my fav BB cream of all time.

And one skin 79 bb cream - i gave it away to an old friend because she really wanted to try Korean BB creams.

I started this blog as a ranting place when i was doing my internship.

But it gradually became an outlet for my creative side which evolved into something much bigger than i could've dreamt of.

Back then it was called "Skull Bones & Love Of  Fashion" because i was more into fashion.

Lipbalm/gloss was all i used back then.

It was a long and tedious name so after a year or so i changed it to Dr Poison Ivy's Beauty Blog.

And so "the boy" and i sketched this logo for my blog.(you know the girl with green vines as a crown)

My Hair Care Regime for Hair Fall

 I miss those days when i had super thick and luscious hair.

My hair fall started during med school days- Stress of exams being the main cause which led to Telogen effluvium which continued for 3-6 months.

And exams after exams did no good for my hair.

Even after coming to Delhi the hair fall continued to a point where the cycle became vicious-

Until recently i added some new products and my hair fall is reduced to minimal or none.

My Journey- Kaya Skin Clinic Laser Hair Reduction

Summer means a lot of sleeveless tops and dresses which needs a lot of personal grooming esp Underarms.

No matter how expensive/fancy clothes you wear, a peek of those hairy underarms is a BIG no no and it ruins the whole look.

I had always wanted to try Underarms Laser Hair Reduction but figured it would be too expensive or just the name "Laser" sounded scary lol

1 month back i was given complimentary service from Kaya Skin Clinic to try their Permanent Laser Hair Reduction and finally gathered the courage to try it out.

You have no idea how good it feels to be back in Delhi.

I love the dry heat which is soooo much better compared to feeling sticky and oily.

The weather in South India is such an awful feeling.

I still have 2 months time before i move to my new place and until then i'll try to blog more often.

The train journey was something i never want to go through again.

Now i feel like i have to sleep 2 days at one go just to make up for all the lack of sleep.

Last Winter Outfit Post

This will be my last winter post in Delhi.

I have always hated winter For Reasons listed below-

1.Dry flaky skin

2.Extreme laziness

However, after my new skin care Regime(Read about it HERE) i did not experience a single episode of flaky skin this winter.

And so i've started to love the bitter Cold climate of Delhi Winter.

As for reason no.2,I guess that is incurable lol

All good things must come to an end (for better things to begin.)

Delhi will always be my favourite city in India.

And i would love to settle here in the future.

I'm not sure where i'll be going within a month or two but i will keep you all updated.

I know most of us are conscious about the perfume brands we wear.

But in this interesting session i learnt a lot of things.

1.There are only 8-10 perfume makers in the world and all the big brands go to them.

Eg perfumes by Dior and Calvin Klein maybe manufactured by the same company but marketted by different brands.

These perfume makers make 5-10 samples for the brand and the brand will choose from all these samples.

The samples which gets rejected by suppose Dior ,may later on end up being chosen by CK and so on.

2.And that most of the time The Perfume Wears the person and not other way round.

3.Also it doesn't hurt to get opinions of other people while buying perfumes because the wearer can smell it only for 20 minutes or so while other people around him/her can smell it the whole time.

4.The cost of perfume bottles is triple the cost of the actual perfume it contains.

Eg. when we break down the value of a perfume that costs $100, 

$8 would be the cost of the actual perfume

$50 the bottle cost 

and the remaining would be for promotion ads etc.

Fascinating isn't it?

But instead of Holographic polish, its a glitter polish.

"Sweet Dreamz" is a purplish pink glitter polish with multi chrome micro glitters plus lots of Blue stars,Square black,blue,silver glitters,Random black oval spots.

I have applied this on top of a Gold based holo polish "HOLO in Bad lands"

Foodhall Central Food Workshop

Avocado pomegranate raita

 Gurgaon,28th February,2014-

 Foodhall @ central , the one- stop shop presented an exclusive workshop with Food connoisseur Kanchan Kapoor at Foodhall@Central and the theme of the workshop was dishes prepared using avocado and quinoa. The food connoisseur conducted an  hour Workshop and gave inputs in stylizing the food for parties and dished out Quinoa & avocado salad,Avocado pomegranate raita,Wasabi marinated prawns with avocado dip.

This delightful evening  was well attended and graced by food bloggers  and the workshop gave the attendees take back with them some lip – smacking easy to make recipes with memories that they will cherish for a lifetime.

 Ever since i started using Innisfree skin care products my skin has become tame.That means no more flaky skin or zits since October 2013.(Knock on wood!)

This nail art is created using Decal technique.

Acrylic color has been used to fill the outlines.
