Dabur Vatika Enriched Coconut hair Oil Review

Sometimes I don't know what the weather in Kerala is exactly.
When I think it is sunny, it starts to pour the next second.
When I feel like it is going to pour, it gets all hot and humid.
So much for God's own country!
My skin care, hair care have gone down the drain.
Work stress is taking a toll on my body especially my hair.
And I have been losing so much hair since the past one month.
I have reached a point where I am about to give up on bothering about it.

Then I decided to get a shorter haircut.
But I have never had short hair so I am scared of trying something new.
As a last option, I have started making small changes

Firstly , I restarted taking follihair tablets again.
Diet- fruits and milk for breakfast
More juice and green leafy veggies.
Lots and lots of lemonade(tangerine lemonade, strawberry lemonade, kiwi lemonade and so on)
Hair care- I have decided to go back to the basics and try coconut hair oil.

And what better option could I go for than the hair potion that has been around for the longest time- Dabur Vatika Coconut Hair oil?!
What the brand claims-

Proven to be better than ordinary coconut oil in four ways-
Makes hair stronger
Thicker
Shinier
Better dandruff control

Usage-apply regularly on scalp and hair.
Massage and leave it overnight.

How I use it-
I know most of us are busy and nobody leaves hair oil overnight anymore.
Studies have proven that 30 minutes is equivalent to overnight treatment so why sleep feeling all gooey and wake up looking sick
I massage it on my scalp 10-20 minutes before washing my hair and shampoo normally.

8 magical ingredients
Triphalabrahmi, henna, neem,
Lemon,Rosemary ,kapurkachri, soya extracts.

Reasonably priced., Dabur Vatika Enriched Coconut Hair Oil comes in a small, travel friendly package. It has a pleasant coconut fragrance that is not very overwhelming. After rinsing my hair, it doesn't look or feel limp.I'm not very sure about its anti dandruff effects and might have to use it for longer duration to comment on it.
However I will keep you all updated on my hair journey with Dabur Vatika coconut hair oil.Read about the product here

And whenever I use it , I'm reminded of my school days with two side braids and red ribbons. Ah memories.....

As for now , I will continue my diet changes ,hair oiling and hopefully not get a short hair cut.
Fingers crossed.

OxyLife Bleach Review

I have bleached just once in my life.
But since the day I came to Kerala ,my skin has become so tanned and dull.
Don't get me wrong. Many people consider bleaching as a way to make a person fairer but I think that is a very wrong conception.
Bleach helps to even out the skin and make it more uniform.
I decided to give OxyLife Bleach a try as the sound of oxygen power kind of tempted me.

What the brand claims

The contents
A container of creme bleach
An activator bottle
Post bleach skin radiance serum
 A white spatula
How to use it
1.wash face with plain water. Pat dry
2.take creme bleach and powder activator in the ration 7:1 and mix them well.
3.Use the spatula to apply on the area to be bleached.
4.duration- Dusky - 10 minutes wheatish -15 minutes Fair -more than 15 minutes

My opinion
PACKAGE- Simple and cost effective packaging.
First and foremost ,do a patch test in your arm or a tiny corner of your jawline just to make sure you are not allergic to any of the contents.
The mixing is easy and one doesn't need to be math genius to do it. Bleaching is one of the most petrifying thing for me. So ,of course I didn't leave it on for more than 10 minutes.
I washed it off with cold water. Followed by generous application of the post bleach serum.
Details Here
Ingredients-
 Creme bleach -hydrogen peroxide
Post bleach skin radiance serum-sea minerals extract and Oxy sphere.

Overall-
It is affordable and easy to use. it gave a good radiance and glow .
I think it would've been better if I had left it on longer.
Maybe next time I will try that.
I am also thinking of trying it on my feet to lighten the tan.
Price- Rs.80 for 27 g Comes in bigger pack too

for more details visit HERE
Anyone of you tried this ? What is your opinion?

Accessorize Haul Part 2

 Here it goes again.
This is actually an old post which i was supposed to publish ages ago but then LIFE happened .Bleh!
Anyway, the first pic was taken during an event by Accessorize in Select City Mall,Delhi.
Oh how much i miss Delhi.
I love the mirror that the shop has.......
so many pretty trinkets and blings on the frame.
I "think" i have accessories hoarding issues.
You can read about my first haul HERE.
The weather is really pleasant in Kerala at present.
I am planning to get some water pets.
Will keep you all updated about it.
I would love to own a lazy fat Persian cat but i'm rarely home and it would be really sad to leave it all alone.
Fishes are easier to maintain and it is so soothing to look at them.
I need me some calmness lol.

Tangle Teezer Brush Review

I have been gone from my blog for so long i don't even know how to start again.
I've tried and tried for the past few months to write a post or two but then something always goes wrong-either my laptop crashes or photoshop expires or i crash lol
All i do is go to work, get back and fall asleep.
The cycle repeats the next day .
I have lost contact with my family, friends and the outside world.
My life is like a little bubble built around the hospital and the people in it.
I've lost my passion for photography and blogging (is that even possible?!).

Kerala Adventure-Ponmudi Experience

What is Irony?
Ans-When an opthalmologist resident gets Viral Conjunctivitis.
There you go i said it!

Its been on since yesterday morning and i thought it was all in my imagination but today it is full blown and my tiny eyes just got tinier (Yes,it is possible lol)
Mild grade fever, loneliness, boredom, irritability, laziness, hunger all put into this petite body of mine.
This must be a punishment for all the times i silently wondered about my patients "How do soooooo many people get conjunctivitis every single day!!"
And God was like "Here you go little whiny one,get a taste of your own medicine!"
Did i tell you i hate going to the doctor?
I guess that is no surprise- everyone hates going to the doctor.

Anyway, here i am sitting and typing away probably infecting everything i touch and even the air around me lol
FREE HUGS ANYONE? :p

The Kerala Adventure-Varkala Beach

What do you do when you have hyperactive friends?
Go out a lot, visit lotsa places...leave your footprints everywhere and make wonderful memories (even in not-so-fun places :p)
Varkala Beach is one of the famous beaches in Kerela ,situated about 50 km from Trivandrum ie about one and half hour depending on the traffic.
The best thing to do is reach in the morning, laze around ,hop eating-shacks,walk on the beach and visit the tiny shops selling very hippie products.
Other than that there is not much to do.

Outfit Post- A Casual Day Out

Its been a long time away from blogging world.
I miss the fun and craziness of the events, the thrill of getting new products and swatching them as if its the end of the world, scrambling through my brain for new nail art ideas.
Now i feel like just another fish in the pond, another rat in the race.
I have been transported a decade back into a world less known to me.
But in a weird way i am happier than i ever was.

Matrix Biolage Advanced FiberStrong Range Review

 Hello From the Lonely Planet.
I don't care if this place is called God's own country or if they have the the most amazing sceneries.
All i know is i miss Delhi :( with all my heart.
I'm still in my Malayam learning phase and EVERYYYYYONEEEE speaks in Malayalam here even if they know English.
Which makes me feel really left out and sad.
I can't understand the fun chats my batchmates have among themselves or the not so fun parts when they are discussing schedules or work.
I just sit there and pretend i'm alright when actually i'm not.
99.99% of the patients speak in Malayalam and i miss speaking in Hindi so much, sometimes i catch Hindi speaking patients lol

The blog reached 3rd anniversary on July 5th 2014 but i was too busy to even go near my laptop.
Plus my laptop has been under the weather for the past 1 month.
I go to work at 7 am and get home by 6 pm most of the days.
ughhhh...
